The only time you'll be on your own is when you're sleeping. There are constantly (at least) two "guides" and a driver with you. If you arrive at the airport I assume they wait for you after the baggage claim and if you go by train they wait for you at the train station in Pyongyang. They will even sleep at the same hotel as you. So you have no own time at all and you're not allowed to walk anywhe...

OK. So they let you travel around on your own, or do you have to rapport to the tourist officials when you're there?

It was very interesting and different, and I would certainly recommend a trip there, you won't regret it! I were to severel places outside Pyongyang, to the DMZ for example and a damm in Nampo. I went to Pyongyang from Dandong in China by train, so there I saw some of the land. It means I basically went from north to south, however I didn't go to the east side. I am soo curious about North Korea! How was it? Would you recommend a trip? Are tourists allowed to go outside of Pyongyang?
