Spent some time in Russia, and came to realise that the Russian country houses really don´t look like anything else in the world. The colours combined are really something else! The log-houses all painted in different colours, in a scheme I haven´t seen anywhere else. Does remind me a bit of buildings in places like Marrakesh and Havana.
Spent a couple of weeks in the republic of Bashkortostan in the very south-east corner of Europe, close to the mighty Ural mountain chain. The capitol is called Ufa, has some 1.3 million inhabitants, and really is something else.
Well , the country
side is really very much alive. Here you will meet cattle-heards driven by cowboys, endless plains and villages scattered around. All the villages are very much alive, in a way that we here in Sweden left more than 50 years ago. Well worth a visit!
