Kek Lok Si is a historical and holy temple filled with the heritage of Buddhist civilization, and with a magnificent bronze statue of Guan Yin Bodhisattva. Commissioned from China it has been identified as the tallest such statue in the world, ove 120 ft in height. Beside the octagonal pavillion that is just beeing built, one thousand 6 ft tall Guan Yin staues will guard Guan Yin Bodhisattva. The Kek Lok Si temple is situated on the Malaysian island of Penang - my second home - in the area Ayer Itam, on the road to Penang Hill. A magnificent temple and the most beautyful place to visit.
