So the time was right to soft for a couple of weeks. We choose to do so in Pangkor Island in the state of Perak. Perak is situated south of Penang island, and you will reach the island by taxi or bus. Taxi from Penang costs about 400 sek and takes roughly two hours. Pangkor Island has some very nice resorts, and this one - Pangkor Island Beach Resort is the biggest of them. The most exclusive is Pangkor Laut, a privately owned island with the best spa in the world. At Pangkor Laut (which is a small island) one of the most beautyful beaches in SEA is situated, namely Emerald Bay.
Pangkor Island has nothing to offer except the splendid resorts. The private 1.2 km beach stretch of this beach resort gives you the loveliest paradise-feeling. The wild-life is quite close, with small makakis stealing fruit from the rooms, hornbills paying their visits daily, leguanas and other lizards frequently seen. It´s a paradise.. And the food is great!
