howdy readers
now i am back in civilisation, aka thailand, after an endevourous trip to cambodia and angkor wat. angkor wat was worth everything but ut was hard, and fun.
the travelling agency fix me up good, they said. bus to the border worked fine, but then it all became odd. we stopped at a thai restaurant in aranyapratet on the border to cambodia, where they squeezed me for 1300 baht for the cambodian visa. then i had to change bus to the border (still being in the same city). there i had to walk 500 m to border control where an odd person contacted me and showed me thru the border controls. on the camboidan side i was told to wait for a while, and then he showed another bloke who drove me on his motobike to a bus station, were i should wait for a bus. the bus turned out to be a car eventually, so fully loaded with goods i couldnt squeeze myself in, almost. i had to scoch up my knees against the dashboard to fit in. after 5 minutes i was deep frozen by the ac put on max. the driver refused to lower it. his english wasnt in such condition that a question why was possible, so i had to freeze - for 3 hours.
the ride to siem reap was on the worst i ever seen in my entire life in an average speed of 70 km/h..
