Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and depart with your naturalist guide for Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is Tanzania’s third largest national park and a sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are another interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. You may catch glimpses of lions, leopards and cheetahs.
Late in the afternoon, you’ll drive to the Karatu area for dinner and your overnight stay at Kitela Lodge.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will depart at 8:00 am with your naturalist guide to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival, descend down to the crater floor for game viewing. The bottom of the crater is dotted with watering holes, shelters and almost 30,000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. You will also find the ‘Big Five’: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and is surrounded by very steep walls rising 610m from the floor. It is considered to be one of the natural wonders of the world and is an amazing haven for wildlife throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. Late in the afternoon, drive back to your lodge in Karatu. Kitela Lodge.

Day 3: Karatu – Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha +fly to Zanzibar
After breakfast at the lodge, with a packed lunch drive to Lake Manyara for game viewing.
Lake Manyara National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Africa. The park is dramatically marked off by lush green vegetation consisting of tall trees of the groundwater forest, which provides home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. Further down, the forest opens up into woodland, grassland, swamps and the soda lake itself, where over 350 species of birds, including the lively flamingo, pelican, sacred ibis, grebe and stork can be viewed. At the southern end of the park are hot sulphur springs called Maji Moto. Manyara is noted for its numerous buffalos, elephants, giraffes, impalas, hippos, as well as a great variety of smaller animals, and the very elusive tree-climbing lions.
In the afternoon, you’ll drive to Arusha and transfer to Arusha Airport for an air transfer to Zanzibar.
On arrival, transfer to The Loop/Fun Beach Hotel for your overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 4-5: Zanzibar
You’ll have breakfast and spend the rest of the day at leisure with optional activities. Staying at Jambiani coast, you’ll have the great opportunity to visit the Jozani Forest, Butterfly Gardens and also do water activities as the beach offers great winds to enjoy the excursion.
Your overnight stay will be at your hotel.
