Taxi Male airport to Hulhumale

Hi, I live in Hulhumale. There is no taxis at the airport. It´s just the hotels own cars that are allowed into the airport island (its connected to Hulhumale, but is a seperate island). The rate is usually around 7-10USD/person, for tourists. What rate did the hotel give you? What hotel?

Thank you for your answer "Lyxhustru"! We booked at "Relax Beach inn". The transfer is USD 20 per adult (we are two adults and one 15 yrar ord child. As we arrive 11:30 PM bus is not an option. Perhaps I book a hotel on Malé instead.....

You can actually call any hotel of your choice and ask for a transfer. We usually book with Askani Villa, city Beach (old car), Vilima Beach or UI Inn. Most of them cost Mvr100/trip (for locals, but maybe if you don't tell them you're a tourist you'll get that price).
The local bus leaves about every hour (if you'll have bags one of the buses are off limit), but not sure when the last one goes. No planes lands after midnight.

Not sure Male would be better. Then you'll have to take the ferry and then a taxi... The ferry goes every 15 minutes, during the day... Not sure about night though.

Just asked my husband about bus schedules... He works as a pilot and use the buses every day. He says that now the buses goes pretty much around the clock. The buses leaves 12, 12:30am, 1:00am, 1:30am. And after 2:00am every hour.
