Gotland i juni 2010-- Vad erbjuder Gotland då?

Hi all,
I 'm backpacker and into all kinds of journeys...

Sweden has become my 3rd home, living here for years, but never thought to explore the real Sweden since I've settled in here.
This summer I decide to stay here and have planed to visit some places.

First choice is one island. Gotland or Öland.
Would you please give me advise where I should visit to see a real Sweden, in which the Viking culture and Swedish traditional are clearly shown up.
I've been told to visit Gotland. Is it a good advise? If so, What is the high light for Gotland trip?
