"Nok Air slashes Bangkok-Krabi route
BANGKOK (The Nation): Nok Air’s daily Bangkok to Krabi flight was one of three routes dropped by the domestic airline on July 1 in an effort to reduce costs. Services from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and to Ubol Ratchathani were also terminated.
Travelers already booked on flights for those routes are being transferred to Thai Airways International and Thai AirAsia flights, or they can contact the airline for a refund.
Nok Air CEO Patee Sarasin said the airline will also cut managerial salaries by 20% in order to save 4 million baht a month and is considering increasing fares by up to 240 baht.
“The airline has already lost 114 million baht, which is lower than earlier reported . The airline will not stop all operations as speculated by some media sources,” Khun Patee added."
