My home in Singapore, the Betel box hostel, was located on a nice street with lots of restaurants and bars, which felt safe when walking home in the evening.
The place was OK so I can recommend it! It was located close to the beach but unfortunately I didnt have time to go there.. Maybe next time! :-)
